Ladybug Lift Off

Why

John and his beautiful bride Linda

My Dad is one of the most cherished people in my life and it was not until I lost my Gram in 2014 that I decided I did not want to forget a single memory.  It was the first day that I moved in with my parents after selling our Raritan house that I got the brilliant idea to start documenting all of the craziest JD encounters. So, for the past 3 years I have been keeping a note in my phone with all of the stories and photos of the adventures that were taking place.

Five years ago my parents sold my childhood home and moved in with me and my family while their new home was being built.  It was not until this moment did I realize that my Mom was a Saint and deserves a Nobel Prize for the shenanigans she endures on a daily basis.

Three years ago my family and I returned the favor when we moved in with
them while we were buying a new home.  It was soon after I realized I needed to start documenting the daily tales that were too good to be forgotten.  My Mom
would say for years, “I can’t make this stuff up” and quickly after I moved in did I realize she didn’t have to. Unfortunately, it was real life.

Today, I currently live back with my parents while I search for my new home.  It is not easy moving back home when being on your own for 10 years but I have to admit that I am loving every single minute of being a part of the daily Dorell routine.  Nothing quite says “Welcome Home” like being woken up at 4:30am on a Wednesday morning by Dad backing into the refrigerator on the wall behind your headboard after he mistakenly put the car in reverse instead of drive on his way to the pool.  With this, I bring you The Laffing Ladybug.

Stories

All of the stories you read are unbelievably 100% true events that my Father has
elevated to a comical level just by being himself. Most have photographic evidence that further proves, you just can’t make this stuff up.

Head to the Meet The Cast page to read the background on all of the characters that fill the circus. One is more impressive than the next and none aim to disappoint. I love them all and wouldn’t trade a single in, well maybe Layla but that is only because I am jealous of her pull with Dad.
